How to download a Facebook video

Copy the video's link
On the Facebook video, tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer you can also copy the address from the browser's address bar.

Which Facebook links work?

- Video posts from Pages, profiles and public groups
- Watch links (facebook.com/watch?v=…)
- Short fb.watch links
- Links shared from the Facebook app (facebook.com/share/v/…)
Private posts, friends-only posts, private groups, live videos, stories and deleted posts can't be saved. VidYoink only works with public videos that anyone can watch without logging in.

Can I download Facebook videos in HD?+
Yes, when Facebook has an HD version. Most videos come in HD and SD. When only SD exists, VidYoink shows one button.
Do videos from groups and Pages work?+
Videos on public Pages and in public groups work. Videos in private groups, or shared only with friends, can't be looked up.
Where does the video go?+
On iPhone, Safari puts it in the Downloads folder of the Files app. On Android, Chrome puts it in Downloads. On a computer, it goes to your browser's Downloads folder.
Is there a watermark?+
VidYoink doesn't add one. You get the same MP4 file that Facebook plays.
Can I download a Facebook live video?+
Not while it's live. Once the broadcast ends, Facebook usually keeps the recording as a normal video, and its link then works.
Why didn't my Facebook link work?+
The post may have no video, or Facebook may show the video only to people who are logged in. Please copy the link from the video itself, using Share and Copy link.
