Download Facebook reels
Reels are Facebook's short vertical videos. VidYoink saves public reels as MP4 files, so you can keep them on your phone and watch them offline. Paste a reel link or a reel shared from the Facebook app, then pick a quality.
How to download a Facebook reel
+
- 1
Copy the reel's link
While the reel plays, tap Share, then Copy link. The Facebook app puts the link on your clipboard.
- 2
Paste the link here
Paste it into the box at the top of this page and tap Download. Reel links and share links from the app both work.
- 3
Save the reel
Choose a quality and the reel saves to your device as an MP4 video, in the same tall shape you watched it in.
Which reel links work?
+
- Reel links (facebook.com/reel/…)
- Reels shared from the Facebook app (facebook.com/share/r/…)
- Public reels opened from a Page or a profile
Reels from private profiles, friends-only reels, stories and deleted reels can't be saved. Stories look like reels, but they disappear after a day and can only be watched while logged in. Please only save reels you made or have the creator's permission to save.
Facebook reel questions
+
Why does my reel only have SD?+
Facebook keeps the HD version of some reels in a form that can't be saved as one file. VidYoink then offers the SD version, which plays everywhere.
Will the reel keep its sound?+
Yes. The file VidYoink saves has the picture and the sound together.
Can I save just the music from a reel?+
No. VidYoink saves the whole reel as a video. It doesn't make audio-only or MP3 files.
How do I get the reel into Photos on iPhone?+
Safari saves it to the Files app first. Our iPhone guide shows how to move it to Photos.
Can I download a reel on a computer?+
Yes. Open the reel on facebook.com, copy the address from the browser's address bar and paste it here. The reel saves to your browser's Downloads folder.
Do I need a Facebook account?+
No. VidYoink never asks for your Facebook login. All you need is the reel's link.
